Full Gospel Tabernacle

Prince attended many churches in his life. This Full Gospel Tabernacle in Reedley, California was one of them and perhaps it was one of the most pivotal. Pastor Melvin Harrel was PJTs pastor, but when his own grandson passed away Pastor Melvin and His wife Millie Harrel “semi-adopted” Prince as their surrogate grandson to help deal with their losses. as the two were schoolmates and friends.

This church had a youth ranch, horse races, rodeos, carnivals, many live shows. Pastor was also a singer, guitar player and painter (see example of one of his paintings below.) Obviously he recruited Prince to work and be part  of every aspect of the church, choir, plays, live shows races and youth ranches.

Pastor Melvin was Personally raised and taught one on one by the legendary  Female / woman Pastor : named: Aimee Semple Mcpherson. That is one of the reasons his church was so extremely successful on his death bed Prince was in the hospital with him in Clovis, California, (Click link to hear the audios)
