Synopsis
Ireland. The 1940s.
Young Henry Keane grows up during difficult times, believing from childhood that God has chosen him for a higher purpose. Brilliant beyond his years, Henry spends countless hours studying theology, philosophy, history, and languages while preparing for the Catholic priesthood.
His remarkable academic achievements earn him multiple advanced degrees, fluency in Latin and Spanish, and recognition throughout Ireland. His devotion and intellect eventually lead Church leaders to send him to the United States, believing he is destined for great leadership within the Catholic Church.
Arriving through Ellis Island with little more than his faith, Henry begins a new life in America.
Serving churches in Los Angeles before relocating to San Diego, he continues his education while ministering to growing Catholic communities. His compassion, humility, and scholarship quickly earn admiration from parishioners and Church leadership alike.
Eventually, Henry is elevated to the rank of Monsignor, becoming one of Southern California’s most respected Catholic leaders.
There is only one obstacle.
His unmistakable Irish brogue is so strong that many parishioners struggle to understand his sermons, creating both humorous and heartfelt moments throughout his ministry.

One Sunday morning, a woman named Lois Littlefield walks into his parish.
