Prince was born a “semi-savant,” later overcoming inherited H.A.D.D. (Hyper Attention Deficit Disorder) challenges. Because he was attractive, vulnerable, and a helpless child, he alleges that many adults, officials, and even law enforcement personnel took advantage of him physically and emotionally. Doctors reportedly diagnosed him as “semi-mentally challenged” and placed him into several special education classes.
At that same time, Prince alleges that the State of California permitted his school district to allow military and fire-service recruiters on campus to recruit and influence minor children, including permitting practices that involved physical discipline, scouting, and recruitment activities conducted on school property.
According to Prince, commissioned recruiters affiliated with the military and the California Conservation Corps (CCC) used a combination of persuasion, manipulation, inappropriate comments, and allegedly forged documents, applications, and signatures to recruit him as a minor. He states that these actions enabled CCC and military-affiliated personnel to place him on camping assignments in the mountains and at facilities associated with the San Luis Obispo Army Base, under the authority of entities including the U.S. Army, Kings Canyon School System, the State of California, the U.S. Marines, and the CCC.
Prince alleges that, while still a minor, he was forced to live in military-style housing, drink contaminated water, participate in adult-level training programs, and learn advanced life-saving and fire-suppression skills despite weighing only approximately 90 pounds. He recalls being required to carry over 50 pounds of equipment, climb steep terrain, operate dangerous machinery and chemicals, and endure early morning training beginning at 4:00 a.m. Although he often cried and wanted to return home, he persevered and ultimately became what he believes was the only minor child certified as a Class II Wildland Firefighter through the CCC. He further alleges that documents were later altered or forged to conceal his true age.
Whenever Prince sought help and made repeated complaints to officials, he states that his concerns were dismissed. According to his recollection, he was told that these conditions were “normal” and “how things were supposed to be.” He further recalls being told that he had chosen to participate voluntarily and therefore was required to remain in the program.
Prince believes that, as a result of these experiences:
He was deprived of the opportunity to fully complete his physical development in a normal environment.
He was deprived of the opportunity to complete his traditional education.
He was only between the ages of 14 and 16 when he was recruited and only 17 when he was removed from home, before completing high school.
Any contracts or agreements allegedly signed while he was a minor would not have been legally binding.
He believes that state agencies, schools, recruiters, military personnel, and the CCC improperly prepared or altered documents because he was underage.
Separated from his parents, Prince recalls experiencing profound fear and emotional distress. He was stationed nearly 500 miles away from his mother, father, family, friends, church, and classmates. Although Russian Gulch State Park Headquarters in Mendocino offered breathtaking scenery, Prince states that his young age and physical vulnerability left him susceptible to abuse and exploitation.
He further alleges that CCC personnel assisted in opening a bank account at Bank of America on his behalf because he was too young to do so independently. Prince states that all he wanted was to return home to his parents. However, according to his account, officials refused to allow him to leave, asserting authority over him as a minor and requiring him to remain housed with unknown adults while performing work assignments for the State of California, the Department of Forestry, the CCC, and the Mendocino Volunteer Fire Department.
Prince further alleges that, in 1990, while he was assigned to this area, an individual later identified as a known child predator and church priest was living approximately one mile from his CCC housing assignment and was allegedly using intermediaries and recruiters to gain access to minor boys. Prince contends that through those recruitment channels, this individual gained access to him.
Prince believes that numerous parties, including governmental agencies and educational institutions, failed in their duty to protect him and, in some instances, facilitated circumstances that resulted in his isolation, exploitation, and endangerment as a minor.
After enduring approximately six months of what Prince describes as traumatic treatment and forced labor conditions, he believes that the cumulative effects of these experiences, combined with pre-existing conditions, resulted in permanent physical, emotional, and psychological injuries.
As the injuries and trauma accumulated, Prince relocated to Colorado to recover and reconnect with extended family members. Following a period of healing and rehabilitation, he returned to California seeking a stable and meaningful career path.
Prince later worked with the Shasta County Fire Department, Bella Vista Station #33. During both on-duty and off-duty situations, he assisted in numerous rescue efforts involving people, animals, and property. Documentation and referral letters reportedly attest to many of these acts of service.
However, Prince believes that subsequent events in California again dramatically altered the course of his life, resulting in years of personal hardship and legal challenges following his involvement in political activities. Sadly California attacked him again. this time sealing him away for 8 years- because he entered politics, was a legitimate firefighter, peace officer and qualified as a Government Official, .
At that exact same time: the State of California: had been allowing his school district to use military and fire recruiter’s on campus to groom and manipulate minor children- allowing them to be “physically spanked,” “scouted” and brainwashed into “recruitment,” –(on school property.)
The commissioned “sales-recruiter(s)” Military and CCC- used a combination of sexual grooming, comments and persuasions, forging documents, papers and signatures which enabled the CCC and Military recruiters to abuse prince (a minor) and station him on camping trips in the mountains and (with unknown adults) at the: San Louis Obispo Army Base, under the authority of the US ARMY, Kings Canyon School System, State of California, US Marines, and the CCC. The young Prince was then forced to live in “asbestos-shack”- (military hut) drink toxic army base water, complete (mature-adult-training programs) learn mature-adult life-saving, and fire-suppression skills. (despite the fact he was a minor; and he only weighed 90 pounds) They strapped him with 50 pounds of equipment; forced him to climb up hills, use heavy, dangerous, chemicals and machinery, and yelling at him every morning at 4 am. (Although crying and wanting to go home) somehow he survived; to become: “the only minor-child” certified,” as a Class II- wildland-firefighter by the CCC. -(LATER THEY FORGED MORE DOCUMENTS TO COVER UP HIS AGE.)
